Every time I’ve visited Zion National Park, I have been in awe at the canyon walls towering around me. It has made me realize how grand nature’s spectacles can be! While making this image, I found the juxtaposition of vibrant autumn cottonwoods and the tan colored sandstone walls of Zion canyon intriguing. It was quite challenging to visually separate these elements while making the photograph. The Pulpit rising from the river cove lent a spiritual touch to the scene and I used the surrounding cottonwood trees to frame it.
