Photographing autumn colors in Colorado is a surreal experience. Groves of aspen trees, a potpourri of autumn colors and grand mountain vistas all make for incredible photo opportunities. While making this image, I was drawn to the bare silver trunks of these tall standing aspens. A lone young aspen tree provided visual relief and depth to the composition.
