I find making photographs during seasonal transitions a tantalizing experience as such scenes tend to confound the mind! While making this image, a late spring storm had spray painted the grassy meadows with a fresh coat of snow. The first light of day illuminated the top of El Capitan and turned the Merced River into a reflection pool.
