Early spring is a delightful time to make photographs in the Great Smoky Mountains - rivers are in spate, trees are brimming with young buds and the dogwoods are in full bloom.
A light persistent rain added to the overall atmosphere when I made this image. What caught my eye was the young dogwood tree which, despite its small stature was the center on attention in this beautiful scene.
