I thoroughly enjoy making photographs in soft light as it allows me to create compositions that are evenly lit. Harsh spotlights can be incredibly challenging to overcome when photographs are eventually rendered as a print. While making this image, I waited patiently for the right light to showcase the layers of canyon ridges adding depth to the image. A sunburst was the final kiss of light for the day!
