While high surf can yield dramatic photographs that show the raw power of nature, I’m just as excited to make photographs when the tide is low. Such conditions provide the opportunity to make photographs that appear ethereal or create mirror like reflections along the coastline.

While making this photograph, I was looking to compliment the dreamy flow of the tides with the dramatic cliffs reflected along the beach. I waited until sunset when the light turned pastel pink. This added softness to the scene making it appear dreamy!
